Christoph Sprengard is a graduated Building- and Civil Engineer from the University in Kaiserslautern, Germany and has been working for FIW München since 2001 as department specialist for thermal transport, building materials, hot-box measurements and vacuum-insulation-panels (VIPs). He is leading the department research and development (R&D) at FIW since 2012, currently working on research projects in the field of energy efficiency of the building envelope, internal insulation and questions of economics related to buildings with a very low energy demand.
