Raphaela Ivanica M.Sc. studied building climatology in the Bachelor's program at Ostbayrische Technische Hochschule Regensburg. In the interdisciplinary degree program, she gained a broad insight into the building sector. Subsequently, she deepened her knowledge in the field of sustainability with the master’s degree in Energy Efficient and Sustainable Building at the Technical University of Munich. With her Master's thesis in cooperation with Holzforschung München, she became familiar with the field of life cycle assessment of timber buildings. After completing her master's degree, Raphaela Ivanica worked as a research assistant at Holzforschung München and was involved in a European research project. Within this context she stared working on a dissertation in the field of life cycle assessment of design for recycling in timber construction. Since 2022, she has been working at FIW Munich in the Research and Development department, mainly on projects concerning the ecological assessment of insulation materials in application and sustainability.

  • Study on the comparison of different insulation materials in the application on the building
  • Further development of the product portfolio of the Blue Angel eco-label - framework project 2022

  • Study comparing the use of different insulation materials in buildings
  • Factsheets and summaries on the topic of heat generation with renewable energies
